Bryson City is located in Swain County North Carolina. Bryson City is home to much of the Smoky Mountain National Park, including its highest peak, Clingmans Dome. The Nantahala River, one of the nation's most well known whitewater rafting venues, and beautiful Lake Fontana with the highest dam east of the Rockies stake their claim there. Bryson City was named in the "101 Best Outdoor Towns" as the nation's third best whitewater paddling towns.
